I graduated from the University of Nebraska – Lincoln and UNMC College of Dentistry with a B.A. in Psychology, a minor in Spanish, and my DDS degree. I was also a Regents Scholar and made the Honor Roll and was awarded the Dean’s Award for High Academic Achievement.

In addition, I enjoy working hard and setting goals to become the best version of myself. I believe that a strong work ethic will guide me throughout my dental career, and I am committed to continually developing as a dentist, communicator, and leader in my profession.

Before my professional accomplishment, I experienced extensive dental needs and was exposed to the dental field from an early age. I knew that dentistry would allow me the opportunity to connect with patients and improve their smile appearance, dental health, and even overall well-being. I knew by choosing dentistry, I could impact my patient’s self-esteem, overall health and improve their overall well-being. 

A: Getting to know you and your family: 

I love seeing families and seeing their children grow – and love knowing about my patients’ milestones. In addition, I love the artistry involved as well as being able to build personal relationships with each patient every time I see them.

Some of my favorite moments are being able to “grow” with the patient, being someone to listen, express empathy, and just being that person to be with them through life events, whether challenging or exciting. All of that is the icing on the cake.

I want my patients to be in charge of their dental care.

Every patient should know that I understand dentistry can be intimidating. Because of that, I want you to know you are 100% in control throughout your entire appointment. I pay close attention to “signals” or gestures to let me know about anything that you need during your appointment. I believe in providing clear communication and a thorough, well-discussed treatment plan created together with my patients.

I believe dentistry and wellness are strongly related and can benefit from identifying systemic diseases throughout the mouth to mental health. Everything can be an indicator of a person’s overall health. To better my own health and improve wellness, I plan to include stretching more often and focusing on micronutrients for my body.

I hope to help my patients achieve optimal dental health and serve as a source of inspiration for improving overall wellness as well. It would be an honor to be part of your healthcare team.
